Electric Zoo to Take Place on New York's Randall's Island!!


One topic my friends and I come back to again and again is how New York doesn't have a proper electronic music festival. Detroit has DEMF. Montreal has Mutek. Europe has too many to name. But now, finally, New York has something!

Electric Zoo
will be a 2-day, electronic/dance music event happening Labor Day weekend on Randall's Island. While I was at first a bit leery of the initial line-up, more and more acts (like Busy P, DJ Mehdi, and Tiga!!) have been revealed over the past few weeks and it looks to be a great weekend of electronic music and getting down outside (not to mention the closest thing New York's ever had to a proper electronic music festival). More acts are to be announced over the next month, but the current line-up along with more info is below:

The festival will take place from 12 noon until 11pm each day, and will happen across 4 stages in Randall's Island Park.

General admission single day tickets are $55 each, or $100 if you buy a ticket for both days.

VIP tickets are $120 per day, or $225 for both days. VIP passes include a separate VIP entrance, access to VIP lounge with private cash bar, exclusive viewing area at main stage, and access to VIP-only deluxe bathrooms.
